Body Recovered in Search for Man Fallen Overboard Cruise Ship off Scotland

A body has been recovered in the search for a man who fell overboard from a cruise ship in the North Sea off Scotland's east coast. The missing person was reported at 08:35 on the MS Ambition, part of Ambassador Cruise Lines, approximately 36 nautical miles from Arbroath.

Lifeboats, coastguard crews, and aerial support were deployed in the search operation before the ship docked in Dundee. According to Police Scotland, while formal identification is pending, the family of the missing man has been informed.

The MS Ambition was on its return journey to Dundee from a solar eclipse cruise that included stops in Iceland and the Faroe Islands, docking in Lerwick before its final return to Dundee on Friday. BBC Scotland News reports that the passenger's luggage remained onboard, and his bed had not been slept in.
