Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan and 22 suspects were arrested

In the investigation initiated by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that 34 million 288 thousand 376 TL overpayment was made to the contractor company by pretending that some garbage collection vehicles were working on days when they were not working. A detention order was issued for 23 people, including Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, Deputy Mayor Gülden Özaydın, municipal managers, staff and company officials. 22 suspects, except the detained Tanju Özcan, were detained in simultaneous operations in 7 provinces. The detained suspects were sent to the provincial gendarmerie command and the gendarmerie commands in the districts. 7 suspects who were referred to the courthouse yesterday were released on condition of judicial control.

14 suspects who were detained within the scope of the investigation were taken to the courthouse today after their procedures. Deputy Mayor Gülden Özaydın, who was referred to the court on duty after the prosecutor's interrogations, Deputy Director of Cleaning Affairs Basri Baytekin, Head of Inspection and Babul Commission Burak Tayşi, one of the personnel of the Directorate of Cleaning Affairs, MCY company officer Faruk Güner, Yeşilçam company officer Fatih Lekesiz, the tender contract made with Bolu Municipality, Yeşilçam Peyzaj Temizlik İnşaat Nakliye Sanayi Ticaret Ltd. Ltd. While Yılmaz Erdoğan, who signed on his behalf by proxy, was arrested, 8 suspects were released on condition of judicial control.
