A dog was rescued by firefighters after falling into a narrow drain, about five meters deep, on Rua Carvalho Junior, in Corrêas, Petrópolis, in the Serrana region of Rio. The rescue took place in the early hours of this Saturday (5).

The Rio de Janeiro State Military Fire Department (CBMERJ) was called at 0:08 am. The team from the 15th Petrópolis Group found the animal trapped at the bottom of the concrete structure, unable to return to the surface.

The animal was lifted in a controlled manner and handed over to the family, who followed the care. He was scared, but had no injuries. Those responsible were advised to take him for a veterinary evaluation.
