Four female students achieved 30/30 points for admission to the Military Medical Academy thanks to test scores and encouragement

Four female students achieved 30/30 points for admission to the Medicine major, the military branch of the Military Medical Academy, thanks to a combination of competency assessment scores and awards and certificates.

They are Nguyen Thi Hong (from Bac Giang), Cao Ngoc Anh (Thai Nguyen), Nguyen Le Khanh Ha (Dak Lak) and Le Huynh Minh Khue (HCMC).

The Military Medical Academy said all four passed using their competency assessment scores, in which Hong and Anh used the QDA test from the Ministry of National Defense, and the two southern candidates used the V-ACT score from Ho Chi Minh City National University. Converted to graduation scores according to the B00 combination (Math, Chemistry, Biology), the students achieved from 28.37 to 29.48/30.

With 0.75 to 2 incentive points, the admission scores of four female students reached the absolute mark. Nhu Minh Khue won two points plus an IELTS 7.5 certificate, second prize in the Ho Chi Minh City-level Biology Excellent Student Olympiad, third prize in the provincial science and technology competition (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau), and a series of other awards.

In terms of high school graduation exam scores alone, the students also achieved very high levels. Among them, Khanh Ha leads with 29.25/30 B00 combination points.

Four female students had different starting points before choosing to pursue a career as a military doctor.

Ngoc Anh's father worked in the medical field, Khue grew up in a military family, Khanh Ha was guided by her parents who worked as teachers, and Nguyen Hong was born into a farming family.

Hong's parents sell beans and raise livestock, so they wake up at 2-3am every day to work. Events occurred when her mother had an accident, making Hong determined to study medicine to become a doctor.

Khanh Ha came to the profession from the torment every time she held her grandparents' medical records. The female student hopes to study medicine first of all to provide support and ease the worries of her relatives when facing illness. Minh Khue was inspired when he witnessed military doctors working hard to save people during natural disasters, storms and floods.

Four female students said that they enrolled in the Military Medical Academy not only because the school has a medical training foundation, but also a disciplined and strict environment that requires a high spirit of training.

Therefore, Nguyen Hong acknowledges that he will face many challenges, from physical and psychological training during the rookie training period, to the pressure of studying with a large amount of knowledge.

"I consider this a necessary 'forge' to hone a student who has just left high school into a good medical soldier in the future," Hong expressed.

This year, the Military Medical Academy recruited 140 students, including 12 females, with benchmark scores for this group being 29.6 and 29.76, depending on the region. In addition, the school enrolls 250 civil service students. In this system, a female student with an absolute admission score of 30/30 is Nguyen Truc Linh Anh, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

Linh Anh won first prize in Biology at the city level, achieving 115/150 points in the HSA competency assessment test organized by Hanoi National University (equivalent to 28.75/30 points in the B00 combination).
