Fight during political motorcade leaves one man dead and another injured by gunfire in Bonito; see video

The main suspect is a 16-year-old teenager, who allegedly fled the scene with the help of his 47-year-old father. Videos recorded by witnesses show the widespread fight that ended in death.

The confusion occurred near a gas station in the city. According to the police report, the 30-year-old man was in a truck and, when parking, he was approached by the teenager's father. He allegedly went to the vehicle and began physically attacking the driver.

According to reports recorded by the police, the victim's friends intervened and began attacking the teenager's father. Upon seeing his father being attacked, the boy went to a truck, grabbed a revolver and returned to the place, where he fired the shots. You can hear the shots in the video that shows the confusion.

The shots hit Ewerton and the 30-year-old man. After the shots, father and son allegedly got into the truck and fled.

According to the police report, Ewerton was shot three times: one in the abdomen, one in the chest and another in the right thigh. He was taken to Darcy João Bigaton Hospital, in Bonito, but he did not survive his injuries.

The other man was hit by two shots in the chest area, one in the right side and the other in the back. He was conscious when he was rescued and taken to the municipal hospital. He was later transferred to a hospital unit in Campo Grande.

Based on statements and images recorded during the confusion, the police identified the teenager as the alleged shooter. His father would have started the attacks and then started to be attacked by several people.

After the crime, Military Police teams searched for the suspects, but were unable to locate them until the incident was registered. The case is investigated by the Civil Police.
