22-year-old motorcyclist dies after colliding head-on with car in Cuiabá

A motorcyclist, identified as Alderlei da Silva Costa, aged 22, died after colliding head-on with a car, on Saturday night (24), in the Coxipó da Ponte region, in Cuiabá. The incident was recorded at 7:46 pm.

According to the 56-year-old driver's report to the Military Police, he was heading towards the center of the neighborhood when he noticed Alderlei's motorcycle coming towards him, in the opposite direction and in an "uncontrolled manner".

The driver stated that he tried to swerve to avoid the crash, taking the car into the opposite lane. However, the motorcycle hit the front of the car.

With the impact, Alderlei hit his head on the car and fell to the asphalt. According to the incident report, he died at the scene. Official Forensics and Technical Identification Team (Politec) was called.
