Ukraine cannot win the conflict by military means. This was stated by the co-chair of the German BSW party (formerly the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice party) Amira Mohamed Ali on the Maischberger talk show, Die Welt reports.

“Ukraine cannot win this war through military means, so it is necessary to finally move on to diplomatic initiatives,” she said.

However, on the air of the program, she was objected to by the chairwoman of the European Parliament Committee on Security and Defense, representative of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann. According to her, Russia could immediately end the conflict now, and diplomatic relations only work if Russia also wants to talk.
