16 arrests in illegal betting operation in Bursa

Within the scope of the work carried out on artificial intelligence-supported illegal betting and gambling sites by the teams of the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Cyber ​​Crimes Branch, under the coordination of the Department of Combating Cyber ​​Crimes, the bank accounts that were considered to mediate the financing of illegal betting and the persons connected to these accounts were identified.

An investigation has been initiated to capture 25 suspects, who are assessed to have money movement of 652 million 717 thousand 453 TL according to MASAK reports regarding their bank accounts.

21 of the suspects were caught and detained in the simultaneous operation organized by the Intelligence Branch Directorate and the Cyber ​​Crimes Branch Directorate teams upon the instructions of the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

16 of the suspects, who were referred to the courthouse and taken to court after their procedures at the police station, were arrested, and 5 suspects were released on condition of judicial control.

It was stated that efforts are continuing to capture 4 suspects.
