Drug operation reminiscent of the "Breaking Bad" series in Istanbul

Work is continuing by the Istanbul Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate teams to prevent the crime of "manufacturing and trading drugs or stimulants".

Suspicious of two people coming out of a caravan with foreign license plates parked on a street in Şişli with bags in their hands, the teams followed the suspects.

The teams determined that there were liquid synthetic drugs in 3 separate warehouses hidden under the caravan and continued their pursuit.

After approximately 15 days of technical and physical tracking, the teams determined that the suspects had rented a house 2 streets behind where the caravan was located, and determined that the liquid drugs processed in the caravan would be solidified in this house and put on the market.

During the operation carried out by the teams at the specified addresses on October 13, 2 foreign national suspects were caught.

During the searches at the addresses, a total of 213 kilograms of synthetic drugs were seized, 162 kilograms of which were in liquid form and 51 kilograms in solid and crystallized form. Materials used by the suspects to make drugs were also found in the caravan and in the house.

The suspects, who were sent to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, were arrested by the judgeship.

The operation reminded me of the TV series "Breaking Bad"

The operation reminded me of the US TV series "Breaking Bad", which was broadcast between 2008 and 2013.

In the series, which consisted of five seasons and a total of 62 episodes, Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, and Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul, used a caravan as a mobile laboratory in areas far from the city center in order to avoid being caught by the police and keep drug production secret.
