Director of Communications Duran: Türkiye's first floating production platform Osman Gazi is being sent off to its place of duty in Mavi Vatan.

In his statement on his NSosyal account, Duran said, "Türkiye's first floating production platform, Osman Gazi, is being sent off from Filyos to its place of duty in Mavi Homeland with a ceremony to be held today. Osman Gazi will serve for 20 years in the designated location in the Black Sea." he said.

Emphasizing that the giant facility, which will process the natural gas extracted from the sea and bring it to the national grid, will provide a new production capacity for the country's energy infrastructure, Duran said the following.

"With the launch of the platform, it is aimed to double the daily natural gas production in the Sakarya Gas Field to reach 20 million cubic meters, and the number of households whose natural gas needs are met with our domestic resources will increase from 4 million to 8 million. This strategic investment, which is expected to contribute 3.5 billion dollars annually to our country's economy, is also of great importance in terms of strengthening our energy supply security and reducing our foreign dependency.
