Operation against Etimesgut Municipality: 7 people, including deputy mayors, were arrested

According to the statement made by the Ankara West Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an investigation was carried out regarding allegations of "irregularities" in some tenders made by Etimesgut Municipality, "preparing fake documents", "obtaining benefits in matters such as parking lot rental and zoning/license transactions related to construction projects".

Within the scope of Court of Accounts reports, suspect statements within the framework of effective remorse provisions, complainant statements, CIMER applications, audio and video recordings, MASAK and HTS analysis, Etimesgut Deputy Mayor G.B. was accused of establishing/leading an organization and being a member of an organization to commit a crime, embezzlement, bribery, extortion, bid rigging and tampering with the execution of an act. A simultaneous operation was carried out on 13 October in 5 provinces centered in Ankara, against 25 suspects, including 5 municipal officials, including F.G. and F.G.

ARREST OF 7 PEOPLE, 2 OF WHICH ARE VICE PRESIDENTS

Following the search-seizure and detention procedures, 9 of the suspects who were brought to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office showed effective remorse and testified. Judicial control was requested for 5 suspects by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office due to the current evidence status.

Among the 11 suspects referred for arrest, Etimesgut Deputy Mayor G.B. It was decided to arrest 7 suspects, including F.G. and F.G., and to apply judicial control provisions (house arrest) to 4 suspects.
