Four Italian soldiers were injured in Latvia due to friendly fire during a NATO exercise

Four Italian soldiers were injured in Latvia - during an exercise, shots fired from one Italian vehicle hit another, where their colleagues were located. This was reported by the Italian Ministry of Defense on the social network X.

The incident occurred at the Adazi training ground during a live-fire exercise. Fire from a non-automatic weapon mounted on one of the vehicles hit another vehicle with military personnel. The victims are part of the 11th Bersaglieri Regiment and are deployed to the NATO Forward Land Forces mission; the reasons are being clarified.
