During the more than 40 days of training, the formation went to the South China Sea, the Western Pacific and other sea and airspace to conduct in-depth actual combat application verification, which effectively improved the aircraft carrier formation's ability to perform its missions.

Since the formation set sail, it has persisted in going all the way, studying all the way, and practicing all the way. It has continuously moved to multiple training sea and airspaces, strictly constructed an early warning and detection system, carefully planned and organized multiple training subjects such as coastal and sea joint system confrontation, carrier-based aircraft tactical flight, and formation search and rescue. It also practiced command, research on combat methods, basic knowledge, and strong capabilities, and continuously polished and improved the formation's actual combat training level.

During the training, the formation adhered to actual combat training, based on the actual requirements of long-sea combat, set up real situations, entered real scenes, practiced real cases, planned and organized drills such as air control and air defense, sea strikes, support and cover, comprehensive high-sea rescue, and actual use of weapons. It carried out multiple batches of ship-aircraft offensive and defensive confrontations day and night, continued to deepen the specialization and refinement of the main battle module, and effectively tested the combat application of the aircraft carrier formation's high-sea system.

In a certain area of ​​​​the Western Pacific, the Liaoning ship formation and the amphibious assault ship formation conducted joint exercises. The two sides carefully planned and organized system integration training, which fully tempered the effectiveness of the aircraft carrier formation and the amphibious assault ship formation in actual combat operations in the open sea.
