Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported a fire in a two-story warehouse with furniture and building materials in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The preliminary fire area was 1.2 thousand square meters. The fire was later localized to an area of ​​1.5 thousand square meters.

The regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that firefighters did not allow the fire to spread to the adjacent warehouse, as well as to the first floors of the furniture production workshop and the store’s showroom.

“The fire in the furniture store in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk has been extinguished,” the department said in a statement to Max.
