The Governor of the Vologda Region met with the delegation of Shaanxi Province

MOSCOW, September 10 - RIA Novosti. Governor of the Vologda Region Georgy Filimonov greeted the Chinese delegation from Shaanxi Province, the press service of the regional government reports.

Representatives of Chinese business, led by the President of the Committee for Promotion of International Trade of Shaanxi Province, Chairman of the Shaanxi International Chamber of Commerce, Mrs. Jia Zhenlan, arrived at the negotiations.

The Governor of the Vologda Region proposed to consolidate a permanent format of interaction between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Vologda Region and the Shaanxi International Chamber of Commerce. The head of the region also took the initiative to organize the Days of the Vologda Region at the site of the Shaanxi International Chamber of Commerce in Xi’an.

According to the press service, these proposals will allow us to enter a new stage in the development of relations between the Vologda region and Shaanxi province. Last year, the regions entered into a comprehensive partnership agreement.

“The Vologda region has great potential in the forestry industry, the agro-industrial complex and is interested in expanding the supply of products through Xi’an. In June, a demonstration center for products of the timber industry complex of the Vologda region was opened in Xi’an. As part of the agreements reached, Vologda ice cream, milk, and fermented milk products are being supplied to China,” the message says.
