Caixa pays Bolsa Família to beneficiaries with NIS at the end of 6

Caixa Econômica Federal pays this Thursday (24) the September installment of Bolsa Família to beneficiaries with a Social Registration Number (NIS) at the end of 6.

This month, 19.29 million families will benefit, with an average value of R$678.18.

Residents of 179 municipalities in seven states received the credit on Thursday (17), regardless of the final NIS number. The unified payment benefited localities in emergency situations or in a state of public calamity in the following states: Acre (all 22 municipalities), Amazonas (three municipalities), Paraíba (31), Rio Grande do Norte (113), Roraima (six), São Paulo (one) and Sergipe (three).

The minimum value of the benefit corresponds to R$600 and will be readjusted in October. In addition to this, there are three additional payments:

the Nutriz Family Variable Benefit pays six installments of R$50 to mothers of babies up to six months of age, to guarantee the child's nutrition;

Bolsa Família also pays an additional R$50 to families with pregnant women and children aged 7 to 18;

and R$150 for families with children up to 6 years old.

In the traditional Bolsa Família model, payment occurs in the last ten working days of each month.

The beneficiary will be able to consult information about payment dates, the value of the benefit and the composition of the installments in the Caixa Tem application (PlayStore or App Store), used to monitor the bank's digital savings accounts.

Protection rule

In addition to the full benefit, there is payment for the protection rule. In force since June 2023, this rule allows families whose members get a job and improve their income to receive 50% of the benefit to which they would be entitled for up to two years, as long as each member receives the equivalent of up to half the minimum wage.

Since June last year, the length of stay under the protection rule has been reduced from two to one year. However, those who entered the rule until May 2025 continue to receive half the benefit for two years.
