Electoral campaign for the Government of Maranhão in 2026 begins with eight candidates

Candidates for the Government of Maranhão begin, this Sunday (16), the official electoral campaign. In total, the state has eight candidates registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) to contest the 2026 elections.

With the start of the election campaign, candidates can now advertise on the streets and on the internet. On TV and radio, electoral propaganda begins on August 28th.

What candidates can do from this Sunday:

explicitly ask for a vote

rallies

walks, marches and motorcades

distribution of graphic material

use of speakers and sound amplifiers, within the times and limits established by legislation

paid advertisements in newspapers, within the limits defined by legislation

advertising on the internet, on websites and on social media

André Luís (Mission)

Afternoon: opens the electoral campaign on Avenida Litorânea, in São Luís, holding a sticker as the first act this Sunday.

Dimas Cassimiro (PCO)

Until the last update of this report, the candidate's team had not sent the campaign agenda for this Saturday within the time previously defined in a meeting held at Grupo Mirante with the candidates' advisors.

Eduardo Braide (PSD)

Morning: the campaign begins with the inauguration of a committee on Avenida dos Holandeses and a sticker. In addition to a motorcade in São Luís.

Afternoon: participate in the São Benedito Festival, in Rosário.

Felipe Camarão (PT)

Morning: candidate holds a motorcade with a concentration at Praça da Vila Bacanga, in the Itaqui-Bacanga area, in São Luís.

Orleans Brandão (MDB)

Morning: participate in a trawler in Igarapé Grande.

Afternoon: meets with the mayor of Joselândia, Raimundo Zuca (Republicans), and ends the agenda with a trip to São Mateus.

Reginaldo Lima (PCB)

Morning: holds a meeting with supporters.

Afternoon: recording of electoral program.

Evening: meeting with party activists.
