LIVE: Fenerbahçe coach Emre Belözoğlu speaks

Fenerbahçe is holding a press conference for its new coach Emre Belözoğlu. Fenerbahçe managers Cihan Kamer and Önder Fırat were also present at the meeting.

Cihan Kamer: "Our coach İsmail Kartal resigned. We parted ways. We thank him for his efforts. In our search for a coach in a short period of time, we decided to continue our championship path with our dear Emre Belözoğlu. He is a brother whom I have known for many years, whom I appreciate very much, whom I love and trust, both technically and in terms of character. All our board members and our president give him full support. We wholeheartedly believe that we will be champions with Emre Belözoğlu on our path to the championship."

Önder Fırat: "I would like to express my satisfaction that our teacher Emre is in his community again. We have absolute faith that he will be successful with his knowledge, skills and merit. I wholeheartedly wish him success. As the entire management, we express our support."

"I AM AWARE OF YOUR EXPECTATIONS"

Emre Belözoğlu: "Being here is not an unfamiliar excitement for me. Fenerbahçe was a jersey I dreamed of when I was a child. I grew up on those streets, remembering the names of the legends of the 103-goal season. God granted me the opportunity to wear the jersey of such a plane tree, to be its sports director and, even for a short time, to be its technical director. I am returning to my home once again. I am aware of the expectations."

"Aware of my responsibility, I have come to do my best as a much different Emre, knowing that I have improved myself by not being the Emre of 5 years ago. I hope we will be successful together. I would like to thank our president and managers who believed and trusted me. I would like to thank Kasımpaşa Club for their convenience. They will always have a different place in my life."
