LIVE: Sergen Yalçın announces the candidate squad for the National Team

The candidate squad for the matches that the National Football Team will play against Belgium and France in the UEFA Nations A League Group 1 is being announced.

The meeting, which starts at 14.00, is held in the Orhan Saka Conference Hall at TFF Riva Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities.

Sergen Yalçın's statements: (Live, updating)

We brought the artificial intelligence-supported player tracking and performance analysis monitoring system, which we have been working on for a long time, to the National Team. Our 9 observers watched 43 matches live. We received 64 reports for a pool of 50 people. We make the final decision, but we do not want to overlook any of our players and details.

We are here to create the National Team not only of today but of the future. Whoever deserves it and will contribute will be here.

The National Team is open to every player and every press member. This is the people's National Team. Please do not spread negative news before you even start work. Our only thought is to be successful, to do the right thing and to represent our country in the best way.

What will you do if the artificial intelligence suggests you cast a player you don't want to cast?

Sergen Yalçın: "After all, I am the one who decides. Artificial intelligence is actually a bit of a formality... (Laughing). Of course, we are the ones who will decide..."

CLAIMS "THEY DID NOT PICK THE PHONE"

"Let's get the right information and make the right news. Our players are very eager to come here. The new season is starting. We talked to many players on the phone, we exchanged information. There is no such thing as never answering the phone. Our players are all high-character kids. It will harm you to pretend that things did not happen. This is the National Team of the people. The pool consists of nearly 60 players. We will call 26 players. We removed a goalkeeper from the squad at the last minute due to his injury. Başakşehir's goalkeeper was injured."

SITUATION OF KENAN YILDIZ

"Kenan Yıldız wanted to come even though he was injured. Juventus wanted him to continue his treatment there, and we agreed."

ABOUT BERKE ÖZER

"There is nothing to make a big deal about Berke Özer. We talked and he wanted to come. He is young and will serve the National Team for many years."

"We will play with a centre-forward, our system will be different. We have not had healthy results in the Nations League lately. We have two matches and a chance of not being relegated. The Belgium match is very important. We have injuries, there are those who returned from injury, there are those who are not 100%. We think we have made a good mix. We will start with physically ready names. Hopefully it will be good. What we want from you is to help us."

"Stories are always rewritten, let's see how our story will be. I think we can achieve this on this path together with Our Children."
