Carlo Pacifici announces his candidacy for the presidency of The Hague

Carlo Pacifici has announced his candidacy for the presidency of The Hague. "I believe that the moment we are experiencing - he states in a statement to ANSA - requires, more than ever, experience, balance and the ability to make decisions. The Association is going through a difficult and complex phase. Today we need the solidity necessary to govern the present, tackling the issues before us with determination, but also the vision to build, starting now, the future of The Hague", continues the 68-year-old former Serie A referee, Roman, former president of the Italian Referees Association between April 2023 and December 2024, and now in the running with Francesco Massini and Massimo Pisacreta.

"I know this reality deeply. I know its responsibilities, difficulties and challenges, but also its great potential. It is on the basis of this knowledge and the experience gained over time that I have chosen to get involved again - continues Pacifici -, with the belief that I can still offer an important contribution to the Association and to all its members", he adds, "together with a team of managers with proven experience. At my side, in the role of Vice Presidents, will be Alfredo Trentalange and Stefano Archinà. Their experience, the skills acquired and the profound knowledge of the Association represent, together with mine, a solid basis for facing the challenges we face with responsibility, balance and determination".

"The choice is precise: to build an authoritative and competent team, capable of governing the present with concreteness and a sense of responsibility and, at the same time, of having the necessary vision to plan the future of the AIA. I am therefore running with a spirit of service and with the desire to put competence, experience and determination at the service of the Association. In such a delicate moment, I believe that the AIA needs solid guidance, clear choices and a team capable of fully assuming responsibility for its role", he concludes Peaceful.
