Dmitriev: positive developments in relations between Russia and the United States infuriate European opponents of dialogue

Any positive changes in relations between Moscow and Washington infuriate European opponents of dialogue between the two countries. The special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, the head of the RDIF, Kirill Dmitriev, stated this in a commentary to Channel One.

This is how he commented on reports that appeared in Western media about a possible change in the composition of American negotiators for the Ukrainian settlement. According to Dmitriev, from the very beginning there have been attempts to interfere with contacts between Moscow and Washington and disrupt their dialogue.

The official recalled that US President Donald Trump made it clear that his special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are trusted persons comfortable with Russia.

“We also proceed from the fact that any positive movements between Russia and the United States simply cause fury in Europe among the enemies of normal, good, positive dialogue between countries,” he said.
