Asala thanks Ashraf Rifi for supporting her return to singing in Damascus

CNN)-- The Syrian artist Asala thanked the former Lebanese Minister of Justice, Ashraf Rifi, in a blog post she published on her official account on the “X” platform, on Sunday, after he praised her return ceremony to Damascus.

Rifi wrote in a blog post published on his official account on the “X” platform, on Saturday: “Asala is singing again in Damascus... and Damascus is returning again to its authenticity... Greetings from me and my family, and from Tripoli, to Asala Al-Arabiya.”

Asala replied: “My dear sir, you who are of great merit... Your standing with me in my difficult times is nobility and greatness from a great man and a beloved country... I thank you for what has passed, and for the message of love that rejoiced my heart, and all respect to you, my dear, distinguished sir, His Excellency the respected Minister Ashraf Rifi.”

The Syrian artist, nicknamed the “Icon of the East,” also shared many blog posts by Syrian and Arab stars, artists, and male artists, including: Nancy Ajram, Ahlam, Abeer Nehme, Mai Farouk, Kinda Alloush, Moatasem Al-Nahar, and media figures, who expressed their happiness at her return to singing in Damascus and her return to the Levant in a ceremony described as “historic,” surrounded by her family and fans, and she is still...
