El Gouna Film Festival honors Mona Zaki with the Creative Achievement Award in its ninth session

The organizers of the El Gouna Film Festival announced that it will honor Egyptian star Mona Zaki with the Creative Achievement Award at its ninth session, scheduled to be held during the period from 15 to 23 October, coinciding with the unveiling of its new logo.

The festival announced its honoring of the Egyptian star in a statement that said: “Over the decades, Mona Zaki has made a diverse career in cinema, television, and theater, characterized by curiosity, courage, and a desire to see the world from different angles. From her beginnings on stage to the many characters she presented on screen, she continued to engage in new experiences, explore human aspects, and challenge herself with every role.”

The statement added: “At the El Gouna Film Festival, we believe that every story has a point of view. Today, we celebrate an artist who has given us many points of view through her work, and whose career continues to contribute to shaping the way we see, share and remember our stories.”

Mona Zaki recently topped the poster for the series “Talaa Nazel”, scheduled to be shown on the MBC Shahid platform. The series is written by Samaa Ahmed Abdel-Khaleq and Engy Al-Qasim, and co-starring with Mohamed Shaheen, Maryam El-Khasht, Mimi Jamal, Shaheen, and Hamza Diab, under the direction of director Hani Khalifa.
