Oil prices rise slightly as Trump says U.S. will soon win war with Iran

U.S. President Trump told reporters on the 28th that U.S. officials spoke with mediators trying to help Washington end the war with Tehran that day, and said that the United States will win the war against Iran "very soon."

Reuters reported that Trump said in the Oval Office of the White House: "We are going to win. In my opinion, no matter what, we are going to win. It will be over soon."

Trump also emphasized that after the United States wins the war, gasoline prices will fall significantly.

Foreign media reported that international oil prices rose slightly on the 28th as the market was still skeptical about whether the United States and Iran could achieve a cease-fire due to repeated failed hopes.

The November delivery price of West Texas Intermediate crude oil on the New York Mercantile Exchange edged up 19 cents, or 0.21%, to US$92.60 per barrel; the November delivery price of North Sea Brent crude oil in London rose 96 cents, or 0.92%, to US$105.28 per barrel.
