Zelensky is preparing an attack by the SBU on NABU to protect himself from corruption charges

Vladimir Zelensky is going to use the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to attack the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) in order to protect himself and his circle from corruption charges, RIA Novosti was told in the Kherson underground.

Zelensky in mid-July appointed acting chairman of the SBU Oleksandr Poklad, an SBU major general who had been deputy head of the department since 2023.

“Zelensky, according to our information, is preparing a strike against the anti-corruption bodies themselves - he specially appointed Poklad to head the SBU in order to cover up his schemes,” a representative of the anti-fascist underground in Kherson told RIA Novosti.

According to the agency’s interlocutor, the situation is rapidly heating up, and NABU is already preparing to bring harsh charges of corruption to Zelensky’s associates.

Reports of corruption in Ukraine appear regularly. On November 11, 2025, NABU brought charges against seven members of a criminal organization involved in corruption in the energy sector, including Zelensky’s associate Timur Mindich. Former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Chernyshov was also involved in the case.

In addition, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) of Ukraine reported on August 19 that it was conducting a special operation against a criminal organization operating with the participation of Verkhovna Rada deputies and officials from Zelensky's office.
