Contradictory statements attracted attention! Fadime's aunt and brother were arrested!

The file regarding the disappearance of Fadime Görgülü in Aksaray's Ağaçören district in 2007 has been reopened. His brother İlhan Görgülü and his sister-in-law Hava Görgülü, who were detained upon contradictory statements from family members, were arrested.

According to DHA, the family of Fadime Görgülü, who disappeared in Ağaçören district in 2007 when she was 36 years old and was found to be single, filed a missing person application in 2021.

Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor's Office reopened the file regarding Görgülü's fate. The investigation was deepened with re-evaluated evidence and studies. Searches were made in Görgülü's house with a cadaver search dog and underground imaging devices.

In the restarted investigation, first the statements of Fadime Görgülü's brother İlhan Görgülü and her aunt Hava Görgülü were taken. After the gendarmerie teams realized that the statements they received from family members were contradictory, it was evaluated that the incident could be a murder. After Hava Görgülü explained the incident in his statement, excavations were carried out in the empty land close to Görgülü's house. Human bone fragments and 3 gold bracelets were found during the excavations. Who the bone pieces belong to will be determined after the DNA test.

Fadime Görgülü's older brother İlhan Görgülü and her aunt Hava Görgülü were taken into custody. The suspects, whose procedures were completed at the District Gendarmerie Command, were arrested in the court to which they were referred.
