Export statement from Cevdet Yılmaz: The highest level in the history of the Republic

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that at a time when global trade is being tested by geopolitical tensions, protectionist tendencies and uncertainties in supply chains, Türkiye's export performance continues to increase the economy's resilience to external shocks.

In his post on his social media account, Yılmaz stated that the strong export performance contributes to the preservation of the gains in the external balance and supports the progress of economic growth in a more balanced and sustainable structure.

Stating that exports increased by 15.4 percent in September compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 26 billion dollars, Yılmaz stated that annualized exports reached the highest level in the history of the Republic with 283.7 billion dollars.

Yılmaz noted that annual exports of goods and services continue to increase and are estimated to exceed 409 billion dollars.

Stating that this performance, achieved in a period when global demand was weak and the growth outlook of the main trading partners was under pressure, demonstrated the strength of Türkiye's production infrastructure and the importance of diversification in export markets, Yılmaz also shared the targets for the coming period.

Stating that in addition to strengthening the position in existing markets, logistics infrastructure and strategic trade connections will be developed, Yılmaz stated that Türkiye's position in regional and global trade networks will be further strengthened.

Yılmaz stated that the share of high and medium-high technology products in exports will be increased, the green and digital transformation of companies will be accelerated, and their participation in stages that produce higher added value in global value chains will be supported.

Stating that the aim is to achieve a more competitive and high value-added export structure by strengthening the production capacity with technology, innovation and human capital, Yılmaz noted that it is aimed to increase the contribution of exports to growth and employment and to reflect the economic value it creates on the welfare of citizens more strongly.
