A mine from the Great Patriotic War was discovered during excavation work on Festivalnaya Street in Moscow.

Sappers arrived at the scene where the dangerous find was discovered, and the area was cordoned off.

MOSCOW, October 7 - RIA Novosti. A mine from the Great Patriotic War was discovered during excavation work in the north of Moscow, and sappers arrived at the site of the dangerous discovery, a representative of the capital’s emergency services told RIA Novosti.

“A WWII-era mine was discovered during excavation work at 17 Festivalnaya Street,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

According to him, a service dog was brought in to examine the ammunition.
