Important Decision from CHP Regarding the Congress Process: Appeal Waived

There was a remarkable development regarding the ordinary congress process of the Republican People's Party. CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı announced that the previous appeal against the decision numbered 2026/32 Principles, Decision No. 2026/658 of the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice has been waived.

CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı's statements are as follows;

"Our party has decided to waive the appeal made against the decision numbered 2026/32, Decision numbered 2026/658 of the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice. In line with the ordinary congress calendar announced at the Central Executive Board meeting held on September 10, 2026, it is aimed for the Republican People's Party to complete a legitimate and healthy congress process as soon as possible.

The fact that Özgür Özel and his friends, who are parties to the appeal, resigned from our party and founded a new party, eliminated the status of these people as parties. In addition, since our party's regular congress calendar has started to run, the need for the case to be decided as soon as possible has emerged.

In line with this decision, which was taken considering that a long appeal review could delay the congress process, the appeal filed on behalf of CHP was waived. "The Republican People's Party will continue to work to complete the congress process as soon as possible and in a healthy manner, in line with the will of the organization and the democratic functioning of the party."
