Dozens of flights are delayed at Sochi airport

59 departures and 86 arrivals are delayed at an airport in southern Russia, according to the Telegram channel “Krasnodar and Krai.”

In total, around 150 flights have been delayed at Sochi’s airport. Witnesses say passengers have been unable to leave the resort for three days. “Among them are tourists who were supposed to fly to Samara, Perm, and Tyumen. People are spending time in the terminal, including sleeping on benches and directly on the floor,” the source added.

Passengers whose flights have been delayed for more than 12 hours have been relocated to a hotel. Over the past 24 hours, the airspace above Sochi was closed three times. According to the airport’s press service, aircraft are currently being dispatched continuously.
