Reaction from CHP's Aşkın Genç to the Diesel Price

NEW Party Kayseri Deputy Aşkın Genç criticized the government over the increasing diesel prices. Stating that the price of diesel, which was 10 lira in Ankara at the end of 2021, has increased to approximately 90 lira today, Genç said, "While the 50-liter tank was filled with 503 lira, it is now filled with 4 thousand 5 lira."

Genç noted that the decision, which came into force on August 13, reset the SCT on diesel for the rest of August and said, "It will be 3 lira per liter in September, 6 lira in October, 9 lira in November, 12 lira in December, and 14 lira per liter on January 1, 2027. Thus, diesel will reach 104 TL at the beginning of the year. Direct tax in the warehouse as of September." "It will increase from 9 lira to 1,554 lira," he said.

Emphasizing that the increase in fuel prices directly affects other sectors, Genç said, "Do not just say gasoline, diesel, fuel oil. Every increase made here increases everything in the market in a chain manner. Therefore, it is necessary to put a stop to this. If a stop is not said, our citizens will do what is necessary in the first election."
