'Fund profiteering' statement from CHP Spokesperson Zeynel Emre: Reveal the names of politicians

CHP Spokesperson Zeynel Emre made new statements about the politicians involved in the 'fund' profiteering that directly affected hundreds of thousands of citizens.

Calling on the government in the statement he made at his party's headquarters, Zeynel Emre said, "The names of people in important positions are again mentioned in these investigation files. We are examining them in detail, as in the previous one. We are working to provide evidence, but do not leave it to us, you explain. In another meeting we will hold in the coming days, if we provide the necessary evidence regarding the names we have reached, we will make a statement. But if you sincerely want this matter to be clarified, explain."

Stating that among the names there are those who carry out transactions in his name and those who drive vehicles, Emre said, "There is one name in particular, Hayrettin Koç, which was mentioned recently, both in a parliamentary question and in the previous statement of our MP Deniz Yavuzyılmaz. There is an allegation that a large amount of transactions were made in the name of this name. It is easy to investigate whether these allegations are true or false. It becomes clear whether this name is a bag dealer or not."

Speaking about the return of the money by Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, who allegedly plundered 2.2 billion funds with her husband İlyas Kaya and resigned from her post as AKP Deputy Chairman, Emre said, "If you accept it when such a criminal complaint is made against you, the CMB law is clear. It says that in order to benefit from effective repentance, it deposits twice the benefit it has obtained or caused to the Treasury. If this has been done as we stated, the law is clear here. You have to take the same action regarding Ms. Fatma Betül. "While it is obvious that Ali Şekeroğlu committed suicide because he could not make ends meet in front of the Constitutional Court, everyone needs to be dealt with regarding the corruption we encounter in such an environment. We are making efforts, but in a democratic state of law, this matter does not fall on political parties, it falls on the law," he said.

Pointing out that there are many people who reach out to them regarding the issue, Emre said, "They are eating each other and reporting each other. When a name was mentioned by us, it was checked from many angles and had to be disclosed because no action was taken. What needs to be done here is to disclose the names transparently, without discrimination... There are names who served as ministers, deputy ministers and members of parliament. You explain these, do not leave it to us. If you say 'We cannot explain', we will make our own findings and share them in the face of fund fraud."

Emre gave the following answer to the question of whether this statement meant giving a respite to the AKP:

"There are names, we will announce them after we are 100 percent sure and get confirmation from a few places. But they are trying to create a perception here. It would not come to the agenda without us saying it. That's why I say, do not wait for us to say it. Could there be such a thing as the information we have before us not being made available to the authorities? There are names that are protected and not addressed. Let the government do this and explain it. If we had not made a statement about Ms. Fatma Betül, would the officials of the government really have had no information? No. That means until that moment "Our determination is that there is an organized crime and we are faced with a problem where those with public authority are defrauding citizens."
