The number of productive artificial intelligence users in China exceeds 700 million

According to the report published by the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), the number of productive artificial intelligence users has exceeded 700 million by June 2026.

The number of artificial intelligence users, which was 602 million at the end of 2025, increased by nearly 100 million in 6 months. During this period, the penetration rate of productive artificial intelligence technologies also exceeded 50 percent.

IT IS MOST USED AS A CHAT TOOL

Among different usage scenarios, artificial intelligence systems have attracted the most attention as chat tools. 76 percent of users turned to artificial intelligence applications to find answers to their questions.

On the other hand, the report stated that China's first national artificial intelligence super cluster, consisting of 100 thousand graphics processor units, began to be used in this period, and that productive artificial intelligence powered industrial transformation and renewal, making many sectors smarter.

Pointing out that embodied artificial intelligence is one of the most active areas in the development of this technology, the report stated that artificial intelligence-equipped robots are used in many sectors, from industrial production to surgical operations and daily life services.
