Carabinieri Competition: call for 400 graduate Marshal students

The call for the recruitment of Marshal students is online, reserved for candidates between 18 and 28 years old with a degree in the scientific, humanistic, health or environmental fields. Applications by October 30, 2026

The Carabinieri has published an extraordinary competition for the recruitment of 400 Marshal students with a degree. Of the 400 places available, 390 are intended for Italian citizens, while 10 are reserved for bilingual candidates from the autonomous province of Bolzano. The notice is online from 1 October and applications can be submitted until 30 October 2026 through the Arma portal.

How the seats are divided

The places are also assigned based on the degree area held by the candidates: 170 places for the scientific-technological area; 130 places for the humanistic-social area; 60 places for the environmental, forestry and agri-food area; 40 places for the healthcare area. There is also a reserve of 98 places for certain categories, including children and spouses of Armed Forces and Police Force personnel who died in service, graduates of Military Schools and those assisted by institutions providing assistance for military orphans.

Requirements to participate

Young people aged between 18 and 28 in possession of a degree belonging to the classes indicated in the announcement can apply. The required requirements include: enjoyment of civil rights; inexcusable conduct; absence of convictions for negligent crimes; absence of ongoing criminal proceedings for non-negligent crimes.

How to submit the application

The application must be submitted exclusively through the "Competitions" section of the official website of the Carabinieri, at www.carabinieri.it. To access the procedure you must use Spid and electronic identity card.

The competition tests

The selection process involves three phases. We start with a preliminary test consisting of a multiple choice questionnaire on general knowledge. The written test follows, aimed at ascertaining knowledge of the Italian language, or German for candidates interested in the places reserved in Bolzano. The route also includes: physical efficiency tests, including a 1,000 meter flat run and push-ups; psychophysical tests; aptitude assessments with tests and interviews; final oral interview. The oral exam includes questions on four theses drawn at random from the subjects indicated in the announcement. The selection ends with the evaluation of the qualifications held by the candidates.
