The instigator of the robbery of Gianluigi Donnarumma was sentenced to nine years

The main instigator of the robbery in the home of former PSG player Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner, who were kidnapped in July 2023 in their Paris apartment, was sentenced by the Paris court to nine years in prison. The prosecutor's office had requested a ten-year sentence for Ilyas Kherbouch, known as "Ganito", 21, accused of organizing the operation from his cell. His name appears in numerous cases related to kidnappings. Considered by the prosecution as the second instigator of the coup, Khyan M., 22 years old, for which nine years' imprisonment had been requested, was instead acquitted.

Attacked Donnarumma's house in Paris in 2023

The robbery took place in Avenue Montaigne, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Paris. Donnarumma was hit violently with reinforced fists until he bled, while the attackers shouted: "The money, the watches". His partner, Alessia Elefante, then pregnant, was strangled with a phone charging cable. The seven men involved, some of whom were never identified, took away cash, jewellery, watches and luxury bags with a value estimated by the Italian national team goalkeeper to be around one million euros. According to the prosecution, this affair also had "two collateral victims": the child that Alessia Elefante was expecting and lost shortly after the robbery (a miscarriage attributed to the shock she suffered that night), and a man present during the robbery who committed suicide in his cell on 10 May 2024 after being threatened because he was suspected of having acted as an informer.
