Body of 46-year-old man is found near the railway line in São José do Rio Preto

According to the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM), during cleaning work carried out by a janitorial company hired by the city hall, employees found the 46-year-old victim dead.

A team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called, and the doctor on duty confirmed the death.

The Civil and Scientific Police were called to carry out the investigation. Until the last update of this report, the victim's name had not been released. The exact circumstances, date and time of death will be investigated by the Civil Police.

A body was found near the railway line, on Rua João Mesquita, in the center of São José do Rio Preto (SP) late this Monday morning.

The Military Police were called to preserve the area during the investigation by the Civil Police team.

The case was registered at the Flagrant Center. According to the PM, the victim is male and had a wound on his back, but had not been identified.
