Suspect of supermarket robbery is arrested after escaping and hiding in the ceiling of the house

According to the PM, the suspect entered the supermarket and asked for sausage. The employee said that, when she went to pick up the product, the man announced the robbery and kept one of his hands on his waist, pretending to be armed. He took the money from the register and fled. The employee was unable to inform the amount taken.

The suspect tried to hide his face, but the action was recorded by the establishment's security cameras. Another employee claimed to have seen the man arriving at his mother's house wearing the same clothes seen during the robbery.

Still on Sunday, the police carried out searches and located the suspect near his mother's house. Upon noticing the arrival of the police, he fled through the backyards of neighboring properties and was not arrested at that time.

On Monday morning, police continued the search and found the suspect again near the house. Upon noticing the team approaching, he ran into the property.

The police entered the house and searched the rooms. The suspect was found hiding in the ceiling of one of the bedrooms. He was arrested and handcuffed to prevent another escape attempt.

After arrest, the man was taken to the Caracaraí Civil Police Station. At the police station, the victim reported that she had a bruise on her left arm after the suspect bumped into her while fleeing.
