Child dies after being hit by car in Rio Claro

According to the Civil Police, the owner of the vehicle was interviewed and investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the events.

The case was registered at the Rio Claro police station, which is responsible for the investigations.

In a statement, Rio Claro City Hall lamented the child's death and expressed solidarity with family and friends.

"The Municipal Department of Education expresses its solidarity with the family, friends and the school community of Escola Municipalizada de Pouso Seco, at this time of deep sadness for the student's departure.
