Man is stabbed to death during party in Piauí; crime suspect is arrested in Bahia

According to the Military Police, residents called the corporation reporting that a disturbance had occurred at the event and that a man had been stabbed.

Shortly afterwards, residents contacted the Military Police again and reported that the victim tried to flee after being stabbed, but fell approximately 100 meters from the place where the party was taking place.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called, but the team confirmed the victim's death at the scene.

According to the PM, Arildo Leal da Costa fled shortly after the crime. At around 9:30 am this Saturday, the Military Police intelligence service reported that the suspect had been admitted to a hospital in the municipality of Campo Alegre de Lourdes, in Bahia. The corporation did not inform the reason for the suspect's entry into the health unit.

He was then arrested in a joint action between the military police of Piauí and Bahia and taken to the São Raimundo Nonato Civil Police Station, where the appropriate procedures were carried out.

During the incident, the police were also at the club where the party was taking place. According to the PM, the event organizer informed that he did not have a license from the competent bodies to hold the party and that there was no private security at the place.
