Caregiver arrested after giving bleach to patient in Lake Charles

A caregiver was caught giving bleach to his patient to drink and ended up being arrested, in Lake Charles, Lousiana, in the south of the United States.

The crime occurred on Monday (14) and the images, taken by security cameras installed by the family in the residence, were handed over to the police and shared on social media.

The victim has physical and mental disabilities and is unable to care for himself.

"Drink this here," the caregiver says to the patient after placing the chemical in a glass of water.

Reginald Andre Wilson, 30, is behind bars and will now face multiple charges, including aggravated assault.

The company for which the man provided services spoke via social media and stated that it was "deeply saddened by what happened":

"We acted immediately, removed the employee and transported the client to the emergency room for evaluation."
