President Erdoğan's Diplomatic Contacts and Busy Schedule in New York Continue

NEWS CENTER - President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in New York to attend the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), continues his diplomatic contacts and busy schedule. Erdoğan will attend the session on combating climate change today, and then meet with representatives of Turkish and Muslim organizations.

Continuing his bilateral meetings with world leaders after his historic address at the UN General Assembly, Erdoğan will focus on global problems and Turkey's strategic partnerships on the second day of his program. Continuing his contacts in New York, President Erdoğan met with many leaders from around the world and exchanged ideas within the scope of the UN General Assembly week. Erdoğan, who met with the leaders of countries such as Japan, England and Poland and many of his counterparts, especially the Emir of Qatar, emphasized Turkey's constructive role in solving international issues. President Erdoğan also once again demonstrated his effectiveness in regional diplomacy with his contacts at the Gulf States Council organized by Donald Trump.

One of the most important stops of today's program is the meeting with the CEOs and senior managers of the leading companies in the USA. In this meeting, which is of great importance in terms of opening up the Turkish economy and attracting direct investment, Turkey's investment environment and the opportunities it offers are expected to be discussed.

President Erdoğan, who made important warnings about crises and global conflicts in his General Assembly address yesterday, will participate in the session themed on combating climate change today. At this event, which is considered as a part of the preparation process for the climate summit to be hosted by Turkey in November, Erdoğan is expected to give critical messages on environmental policies, sustainability and the future of young people.

The finale of Erdoğan's New York program will take place with a meeting with citizens. Unlike previous years, President Erdoğan, who prefers to meet with the Turkish community at the end of his program, will attend a special event to be held at Gotham Hall. Erdoğan, who will meet with representatives of the Turkish community and the Islamic world in this program organized by the Turkish-American National Steering Committee (TASC), Union of International Democrats (UID), MÜSİAD and the US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), will complete his intense visit to New York with these events.
