President Erdoğan: We will not give opportunity to those opposing Türkiye

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the 75th Anniversary Meeting of the Society for the Dissemination of Knowledge at the Istanbul Congress Center.

Pointing out that the Society for the Dissemination of Knowledge is a movement of the heart, President Erdoğan said, "Spreading knowledge is the seal of Türkiye's cause for independence and future. The struggle to spread knowledge is Türkiye's struggle for education and democracy." he said.

The highlights of President Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

"Although it was founded in 1951, the history of the Science Dissemination Society is the history of Türkiye. The Science Dissemination Society is a movement of the heart.

The spirit of spreading knowledge should be passed on to new generations. Spreading knowledge is the seal of Türkiye's cause for independence and future. The struggle to spread knowledge is Türkiye's struggle for education and democracy. The Science Dissemination Society has fulfilled an important mission in the reopening of imam-hatip high schools and stood by the national will. He also contributed to the construction of more than 100 religious high schools. In this way, education services were prevented from being limited only to Istanbul, and new educational institutions were opened all over Anatolia.

“SCHOLARSHIP AND HOUSING SERVICES OFFERED”

He provided scholarship and accommodation services to young people coming to Istanbul from Anatolia and played a role in their education. The struggle to spread knowledge has taken root and grown despite many obstacles, difficulties, tyranny and oppression. The Science Dissemination Society turned into a plane tree.

Today, this will touches the lives of millions of people through schools, dormitories and education centers.

Young people, I believe in you. We will continue on this path without stopping, without giving up, without getting tired. As a state and a nation, we have a character that is inspired and encouraged by its history. We have no doubt that our greatest treasure is people. Raising people is a long-term endeavor that requires effort and patience.

In today's world where technology is changing, how will we protect the spirituality of our youth in the future? How will we contribute to the education of more students? How will we protect our national identity against global cultural impositions?

We have experienced radical changes in our lives with artificial intelligence. The target audience of those who see the world as a playground where they can play horses as they please is young people.

The target audience of techno-oligarchs is our youth. Our greatest assurance against the dominating mentality of techno-oligarchs that commodifies people, nature, the sky and even space will be the youth of TEKNOFEST. The events that have occurred in our schools recently have shown us what a threat the poisonous seeds spread by this mentality are. What we will do and how we will stand against this new generation of elites is very, very important.

Our common goal is a youth who uses technology in a human-centered way. The point is to move forward without losing our identity and to embrace the opportunities of the age.

Those who try to prevent everything that is good for the country and the nation will be there today and tomorrow, as they have been for 75 years. We know very well that those who do their best will not remain idle from now on. "We will never give them this opportunity."
