Zhou Chunmi, the mayor of Pingtung County of the Democratic Progressive Party, is seeking re-election. He went to the countryside for several days to set up a joint campaign headquarters with the party's election generals. He was warmly supported and welcomed by the villagers. Lan Congxin, the mayor of Jiuru Township, who is seeking re-election, and Chen Mingda, the candidate for mayor of Ligang Township who has switched from a council member, revealed the ten major construction projects promoted by the county team in Ligang and Jiuru. They called on the villagers to enthusiastically support and "let Pingpei light up together"!

Zhou Chunmi said that Jiuru and Ligang are neighboring villages, and the lives of many villagers are connected. They take their children to Balou Park during holidays, have childcare and long-term care needs, and hope to find resources near home. Agriculture and flood control must also be jointly protected. The ten major construction projects of Jiuruli Port promoted by her and the county government team are to create such a life for the villagers.

The ten major construction projects in Jiuru Port include the Balu Parent-Child Integration Park, the new library in Jiuru, public childcare, the Ligang Joint Office Building, and turning the old school building into a holistic care center, improving drainage and strengthening resilience, extending the tap water pipes to allow more families to use water with peace of mind, important transportation construction such as the high-screen second expressway, repairing the Ligang Post Office, and improving the sports facilities and old toilets on the campus playground.

Zhou Chunmi also said that there is now a Youbike in Ligang, and Jiuru will also set up a station in the future; the Pingtung Tropical Agricultural Industrial Park has been completed, and combined with the Pingtung Agricultural Science and Technology Park and the Haifeng Industrial Park under preparation, it will become the Pingtung Industrial Golden Triangle.
