Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the BRICS leaders at the BRICS Summit on the 12th to "oppose the Cold War mentality and camp confrontation, and oppose infringement of other countries' sovereignty and interference in other countries' internal affairs."

Xi Jinping, who arrived in New Delhi, India by plane only on the 12th, delivered a speech titled "Share the Responsibility of Our Times and Be a Pioneer Force" at the BRICS Leaders' Summit in the afternoon of the same day. In addition to emphasizing that the group's member states should continue to deepen solidarity, cooperation and innovative development, he also criticized "unilateralism and power politics for going against the current, which has impacted multilateralism and the international order," and called on "BRICS countries to stand firmly on the right side of history."

Without naming names, Xi Jinping also discussed the current international situation and called on the "BRICS" countries to become "the vanguard of maintaining peace and stability... China is willing to work with BRICS members to play its due role in achieving peace and tranquility in the Middle East Gulf (i.e., the Persian Gulf) region."
