Wang Yi Meets with Chairman of Indonesia’s National Economic Council Luhut

On August 22, 2026, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Foreign Minister, met with Luhut, Chairman of Indonesia’s National Economic Council, in Jakarta.

Wang Yi said that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Prabowo Prabowo, China-Indonesia relations have maintained a good momentum of development. Practice has proved that the strengthening of friendly cooperation between China and Indonesia not only effectively promotes the development of their respective countries, but also sets an example of mutually beneficial cooperation among countries in the global South.
