Zelensky's former press secretary announced sanctions against peace supporters in Ukraine

Former press secretary of Vladimir Zelensky, Yulia Mendel, said that he is introducing sanctions against everyone who advocates peace in Ukraine. She spoke on this topic in her personal Facebook account (a social network banned in Russia; owned by the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is banned).

Zelensky imposed sanctions against Mendel, who has recently become one of his main critics among the country's citizens. In addition to her, the restrictions affected nine more Russian and Ukrainian citizens.

“A few days before my speech in the European Parliament, Vladimir Zelensky, my former boss, imposed sanctions against me. Sanctions against citizens of Ukraine are unconstitutional, like many other decisions of Zelensky,” noted the ex-subordinate of the Ukrainian president.

In May, Mendel gave an interview to Tucker Carlson in which she called Zelensky one of the obstacles to achieving peace, accusing him of inconsistency and arguing that her former leader first hoped to achieve Ukraine's membership in NATO by putting pressure on US President Joe Biden, and then was ready to abandon the prospect of joining NATO and make territorial concessions in the Donbass.
