Daniel Vorcaro summoned by the Brazilian Federal Police for the investigation into Banco Master

The founder of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, will be questioned by the Brazilian Federal Police on September 15 as part of the investigation into the banking institution's operations. The summons was set by the investigators while the case is at the center of a growing institutional crisis involving the Federal Police, the General Prosecutor's Office and the Supreme Federal Court (Stf).

Vorcaro is one of the main suspects in the Compliance Zero operation, which led to the opening of various judicial procedures and to the recent decision of the President of the Supreme Court, Edson Fachin, to order the declassification of all documents connected to the investigation, with the exception of those whose disclosure could compromise ongoing investigations. Its convocation coincides with the extraordinary session of the Supreme Court, scheduled for 10am local time on 15 September, to examine the developments of the Banco Master case.
