Femicide in Monserrato: 81-year-old kills his wife and calls the police to confess

He killed his wife, perhaps in front of some family members, then called the police to confess what he had done. Femicide this afternoon in Monserrato, in the metropolitan city of Cagliari: an 81-year-old killed his wife of the same age. The man was stopped by the police. The details of the story are not known and it is not known whether the murder occurred at the height of an argument. The carabinieri of the Quartu Sant'Elena Company and the Cagliari Provincial Command are operating on site.

There would also be some witnesses, the family members of the two spouses, to the crime which took place in a house in Via Boezio. The incident took place in the early afternoon. After murdering his spouse, the 81-year-old called 112: "I killed my wife", he allegedly confessed. The soldiers of the Quartu Sant'Elena Company, the soldiers of the provincial command and 118 immediately arrived on the scene. The doctors could not help but confirm the woman's death, which apparently occurred several hours earlier. The 81-year-old was stopped by the police and is probably now in the barracks. The magistrates on duty, Enrico Lussu, and the medical examiner arrived on site.
