During the 'Italia in Piazza' demonstration in Milan against the high cost of living, groups of demonstrators sparked riots, scuffles and fires, attacking the police, damaging shops and setting fires in Piazza Duomo and Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Dozens arrested, at least five officers injured and twenty protesters rescued. Unanimous condemnations from Meloni, Salvini, Locatelli and undersecretaries Ostellari and Molteni, who demand financial responsibility for the organizers and zero tolerance for violence.
