Katy Perry’s ex-husband convicted! British comedy actor found guilty of sexual assault and detained in court to face heavy sentence

[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] Pop queen Katy Perry’s ex-husband and well-known British comedian Russell Brand (Russell Brand), who has publicly boasted about his sexual exploits for many years, was found guilty of one count of forcible sexual intercourse and three counts of forcible indecency by the Southwark Royal Court in London on Thursday (5th). The judge bluntly stated that Bland will face a "lengthy" sentence when he is sentenced next Monday.

The Associated Press reported that the whole case began when The Times and Channel 4 reported sexual assault accusations in 2023, prompting many female victims to come forward bravely. After two days of deliberations, the jury found Brand guilty of one count of forcible sexual intercourse and three counts of forcible indecency, and was acquitted of two counts of forcible intercourse and one count of attempted forcible indecency. The crimes he was convicted of include sexually assaulting a woman in a London bar in 2004, forcibly kissing and groping her at a radio station in 2004 or 2005, indecently raping a female fan at her residence after meeting her backstage at a comedy in 2009, and forcibly pressing the woman's private parts during the filming of an advertisement in the same year.

When the rape verdict was read out, Brand closed his eyes and looked blank. When the judge rejected the bail application, he forced himself to calmly gesture to the lawyer and repeatedly said "I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine" before being taken away by the bailiff.

Brand became famous for his bold stand-up comedy in his early years. He has hosted BBC radio and TV shows, appeared in Hollywood movies such as "Forget the Heartless Girl", and was briefly married to pop singer Katy Perry. In recent years, he has gradually faded away from mainstream media, moved to Florida in the United States, and transformed into an Internet celebrity who manages nutrition, conspiracy theories and religious videos. His lawyers argued that the accusers waited years to report the crime in an attempt to undermine the credibility of the accusations.
